There's a lot of uncertainty ahead as we head into the summer of 2021. It is a concern about the manner in which our service to the society will incorporate the highly appreciated human connection which Rotary members have experienced during previous moments. Although the mantra of "hands-face-space" is certain to become part of routine in our club, it is clear that trust is growing and there are more face-to -face interactions. Rotary has, however, changed. In the months leading up to the summer of 2021, there's still a lot of uncertainty regarding the way we'll provide support to the community that includes the valued human connection valued by Rotary members of old. While the "hands looking outwards" idea is likely to be a part of the daily routines in the club it is clear that there is a feeling of trust is developing and more people are making face-to faces connections. Rotary has changed. Rotary is a social network that fosters long-lasting friendships. We've improved our practices maintaining the business meetings online' whilst reintroducing activities for service and social in a safe face-to-face format. The new possibilities are paired with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies to provide a fresh and exciting outlook for Rotary. In a recent Rotary survey it was heartening to see that around 75% of clubs have started making plans for their "business regular initiatives" The months of summer are full of members out and about focussing on projects such as beaches and rivers being cleaned, trash picking and of course providing ongoing services to the society of Rotary volunteers who volunteer their time to support COVID vaccination and test centres. In the course of a Rotary survey conducted recently it was encouraging to learn about 75% of the clubs had planned their normal programs and activities that were previously beneficial to communities in Great Britain and Ireland. It is great to see that the Rotary support center team offers useful resources that aid in the maintenance and promotion of infrastructure and keeping both members and the public protected. Compliance and insurance are also important. We're extremely proud of the innovative ways our members are able to be in tackling one of the biggest challenges facing our society. Rotary has provided me, just and many other people with a community of trustworthy like-minded individuals from whom I've formed genuine relationships in the last 20 years.
